How to Restore Contacts on Your iPhone

Contacts of our iPhone are easily deleted unintentionally especially for the touch screen smartphone you forgot to lock before placing into your pocket. I've lost my iPhone contacts, as well. Thankfully, there're many different third-party data recovery tools to help. The one I want to recommend to you today is iPhone Data Recovery.

iPhone Data Recovery is compatible to almost every iOS devices, including iPhone 6 Plus/6/5s. Part 1: Restore contacts from iPhone Directly

Step 1. Launch iPhone Data Recovery
You will be asked to launch the program on your computer and connect your iPhone via USB cable after the installation.

Step 2. Scan iPhone for contacts
Tap "Start Scan" button on the bottom-right corner. Then, the software will start scanning your iPhone for lost contacts.

Step 3. Preview and install scanned out contacts before recovering
After the scan finished, you will see the iPhone contacts displayed. All the contacts of your iPhone, including the deleted (in red) and the existing ones (in grey) will all be shown. Turn off "Only display the deleted items" to hide the existing contacts. Lastly, click "Recover" at the bottom after previewing the contacts.

Part 2: Restore iPhone contacts with iTunes backup

Step 1: Choose the second recovery mode
If you've backed up your iPhone with iTunes, you can try recovering iPhone contacts from iTunes backup. Then, the iTunes backup files will be shown in the interface. Backup files of different iOS devices on this computer will all be scanned out. Choose the backup file you want and start scan.

Step 2. Preview iPhone contacts
After that, tick "Contacts" under the "Message & Contacts" list and you are allowed to preview and tick the contacts you'd like to recover and start the recovery by clicking "Recover".

Part 3: Recover iPhone 6 Plus/6/5s contacts via iCloud

Step 1. Sign in iCloud
Choose "Recover from iCloud backup file" and you will be asked to sign in your iCloud by entering your Apple ID and password as required.

Step 2. Download and export iCloud backup
Then, the iCloud backup will be all scanned out after you signing up your iCloud account. Choose the latest backup of your iPhone that you like and click "Download". After that, all the files will be scanned out and listed. You can choose "Contacts" and preview all the scanned out contacts.

Step 3. Recover deleted contacts
After previewing the contacts, you can tick all those you want and click "Recover" to start the process.
