How to Set up WhatsApp Web on iPhone

WhatsApp Web is a service that allows you to send and receive WhatsApp messages from your web browser. When first launched by the company on January 21, 2015, this web-based WhatsApp client is limited to only Android, Windows Phone and BlackBerry users. iPhone owners aren't able to use this due to the platform limitations imposed by Apple, which makes them feel a bit disappointed. But the good news is that the company has finally enable WhatsApp Web for iOS devices in August 2015. Now the iPhone users can send and receive WhatsApp messages on their Mac or PC. Plus, it is available for you to access the WhatsApp Web client via any browsers except Safari on iPad.

Now, let's go through the key things you need to know about setting up and using the service.

a). Messages including text and images will sync across devices(both computer and phone)
b). Start a new conversation with any contacts or search for existing conversations
c). Access photos, videos, audio in-line and download any media directly to PC

How to Set Up WhatsApp Web on iPhone

Note: To access WhatsApp Web, first make sure you have the latest version of WhatsApp downloaded on your iPhone. If you don't have WhatsApp, you can download it here. Here we are using Safari to access the WhatsApp Web.

Step 1: Open WhatsApp and go to the Settings menu. Then tap on "WhatsApp Web".

Step 2: Head on over to https://web.whatsapp.com on your computer via any browser. (WhatsApp recommends using Google Chrome, Opera or Firefox to access the client). Then you will receive an interface below.

Step 3: Open up WhatsApp on your iPhone. Then find out "Scan QR code" and use it to scan the QR code displays on the WhatsApp Web website. This action is to match your web browser with your iPhone. After that, you will see a pop-up appear on the screen confirming the setup was a success.

Step 4: You can now use the web-based WhatsApp client on your computer to send and receive WhatsApp messages.

a). WhatsApp Web only works when your iPhone is turned on and connected to the internet. Please make sure that you have not turned it off or switch it to airplane mode if you wan to use the web client.
b). It doesn't matter whether your iPhone is connected via Wi-Fi or cellular, as long as it is remain connected to the internet, you can chat using the Web version smoothly.
