How to Transfer Photos from Android to Mac

"I spent my weekend with my best friend in Rome and took a lot of photos. After back from that trip, she sent those pictures we took to my WhatsApp account. However, I don't have enough space on my Android phone to save all these photos. What can I do to transfer images from Android to Mac?"

To transfer photos from Android to Mac, we can use Android Transfer.

Android Transfer is, as its name implied, a transfer tool for Android phone and tablet. Photos, in JPG, JPEG or PNG format, that you took with your Android built-in camera or you download from the Internet or other apps can be transferred between Android and Mac. Android Transfer not only allow you to transfer photos with ease before previewing, you can also delete useless photos if you like.

What's The Preparation Before Using Android Transfer?
1. Mac OS X 10.11 and the earlier. (If you use Windows platform, you can also transfer photos from Android to PC if it is Windows 10 and earlier).
2. Android 2.1 to Android 6.0. That is, no matter you use the previous Android device or latest Android ones, like Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge+, LG G5, Sony Xperia X Performance, HTC One M10, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X and more.
3. A USB cable and a copy of the photo transfer software.

Now, here come the steps on how to transfer pictures from Android to Mac. As you can see in the interface, after your Android devic is detected by the software, the supported data types will be listed in the left side of the interface. Choose "Photos" and the pictures on your Android phone/tablet will be shown. You can preview them one by one and tick those you want. After that, hit on "Export" on the top to transfer them to Macbook Pro, Macbook Air and more.

Note: Now, you've copied Android photos to Mac. It doesn't mean that the chosen photos will be cut and paste to the Mac. Instead, they will still be on your Android phone unless you delete them. Hit on the "Delete" option after choosing pictures or delete them in Photo Gallery to get space for the new data.

With these two simple steps, you can easily back up Android photos to Mac. Android Transfer also allows you to restore photos from Mac to Android if you like. The steps will be similar, just replace "Export" with "Import" and they will come back to you.
