Part 1: Delete Message Selectively from A ConversationTo delete message selectively, you can go to the "CHATS" list, choose the contact and then long press the messages which you want to delete. And then you will see the below screenshot shows. Preview the chat history and tap on the messages you want to delete. Then, tap on the trash bin icon and the window will pop up to ask you if you want to delete these messages. Click "Delete" to delete them.
Part 2: Delete An Individual ChatGo to "CHATS", long press on the contacts you want to delete WhatsApp chat history. In the pop-up window, choose "Delete Chat" to delete all the chat history from this contact.
Part 3: Delete Group ChatBesides, you can also delete the WhatsApp chat history of a group chat:
Go to "CHATS", long press on the group chat history and you will see several choices as the interface below shows. Choose "Exit group" to quit the group chat. Then, long press on the group chat messages again and the "Exit group" option will turn into "Delete group". Tap on it and the messages will be deleted.
Part 4: Delete or Clear Your Entire Chat HistoryIf you want to empty the entire WhatsApp chat history on your Android, you can go to "Settings" > "Chats and calls" > "Chat history" on your Android. After that, in the chat history setting page, you can choose "Clear all chats" or "Delete all chats" to delete the chat record.
